The City of Fulton established in 1837 is named for Robert Fulton, the inventor of the steamboat. Fulton is located on the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway and hosts waterway sports such as boating, skiing, canoeing, and fishing.  A walking track created to feature beautiful waterway views is also part of the Underground Railroad Bicycle Route inspiring walkers, runners, and cyclists alike. You can enjoy a stay on the waterway by boat at the Midway Marina or by RV and Tent Camping at the Jamie L. Whitten Campground.  If you prefer hotel stays, we have four:  Holiday Inn Express, Days Inn, Americans Inn, and The Sands Motel.  For assistance with arranging your stay, you may contact our Itawamba Welcome Center.  Fulton is home to unique antique shops, boutiques, and restaurants too.  Y’all stop on in to shop, unwind, and dine!
